Funders & strategic partners
The ORÆ Open Intelligence Initiative is being prepared as a collaboration and funding program for open AI. The work ahead is concrete — public selection criteria, transparent decision logs, measurable deliverables, and an ORÆ Atlas of the systems, datasets and tools that hold the ecosystem together. We are looking for partners who want to support that infrastructure with seriousness.
The open AI ecosystem is held together by a thin layer of maintainers, evaluators, dataset curators and governance contributors. Without coordinated funding, that layer thins out — fast. Partnering with ORÆ Open Intelligence Initiative is a way to channel resources toward the public-good infrastructure your work relies on, with transparent selection and public reporting.
The program is in formation. Early partners help shape its first calls, governance practices and ORÆ Atlas. Nothing is promised that hasn't been built; everything is documented in public as it takes shape.
Different partners have different capacities. The program is designed to absorb support in several distinct shapes — each with its own scope, commitment and visibility.
Fund a focused call — e.g. open evaluation, open datasets, open agents — with measurable deliverables and a public selection process.
Fund maintainer fellowships for the libraries, runtimes and infrastructure your work — and others' work — depends on.
Support the benchmarks, evaluation harnesses and safety tooling the broader open AI ecosystem can rely on.
Donate compute, hosting or evaluation infrastructure to open projects that would otherwise be priced out of running their own experiments.
Contribute expertise to the review process. Reviewers declare conflicts of interest and are listed in public review records.
Sponsor documentation, reproducibility and onboarding work — the layer that lets others use what the commons produces.
Partner relationships are designed around the same governance ORÆ Open Intelligence Initiative applies to projects: public criteria, conflict-of-interest declarations and transparent decision logs. Partners do not direct individual project selections.
Partners can be acknowledged publicly in the ORÆ Atlas and in the program's annual record. Partner support does not buy editorial control over the program's framing, selection criteria, or refusal zones.
Tell us about the ecosystem you're trying to strengthen, the shape of support you have in mind, and the scope you can commit to. We'll work from there.
